Diagnose Your Computer

This page will test to see if you have the right kind of browser to run our survey software. You should not have any problem if you have one of the folowing browsers (Note: Cookies, and JavaScript must be enabled): There are known problems with: Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x, Internet Explorer 1.0-5.0, Safari 1.0-2.0.1, Opera 1.0-9.x and Konqueror.

Here are the results of the diagnostic tests for your computer:

  1. JavaScript is disabled. Please read how to enable JavaScript in your browser. If your browser isn't listed, please consult its help resources.
    • Internet Explorer 6.0+
      1. Click the Tools menu.
      2. Select Internet Options.
      3. Click the Security tab.
      4. Click the Custom Level button.
      5. Scroll down until you see the 'Scripting' section. Select the 'Enable' radio button for 'Active Scripting.'
      6. Click the OK button.
      7. If you see a confirmation window, click the Yes button.
    • Google Chrome
      1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
      2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on a Chromebook).
      3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
      4. Click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.
      5. Make sure that "Allow all sites to run JavaScript" is selected or click "Manage exeptions" and add our hostname (www.assesscentral.com or www.i-eval.com) to the list of the exceptions and select "Allow" behavior.
    • Firefox 3.6+
      1. Click the Tools menu.
      2. Select Options.
      3. Click the Content tab.
      4. Select the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox.
      5. Click the OK button.
    • Safari 2 or 3
      1. Click the Safari menu.
      2. Select Preferences.
      3. Click the Security tab.
      4. Select the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox.
    Note:
    * Upgrading your browser or installing any security update patches may affect your JavaScript settings.

    ** You won't see the options or they will be disabled if you do not have enough rights to do the changes. If so please contact your network administrator.

* If cookies and JavaScript are enabled and you're still seeing "we've detected an error" message, try opening a new window in your browser. Sometimes a browser's cookies will not work properly when you are using multiple tabs in a browser window.

** If above does not help, please try to clear your browser cache and delete your cookies (the steps to take will depend on the OS and browser versions so if you need help please consult your browser help resources.
